2016 Rotary & Kids Giving Back at Parliament House

The Rotary Club of Chatswood has invited Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP, treasurer of NSW to be our guest of honour at a special dinner on 3rd August 2016.

Kids Giving Back was established in 2012 to create the next Generation of Generosity by providing hands-on, age appropriate, meaningful opportunities for young people to volunteer and connect with communities. Kids Giving Back creates volunteering opportunities for young people aged 6-18 to embrace real life experiences through hands-on engagement with communities in need.
Examples of opportunities include providing meals for the homeless, interacting with aged care residents, as well as sourcing and sorting needed items for refugee communities.
Kids Giving Back aims to make giving a part of every young person’s DNA as they learn to think about WE and not just ME.
Since 2012 over 5,500 children and families have engaged in a meaningful way with a range of communities through Kids Giving Back’s programs in the greater Sydney region. They work with over 25 schools and more than 50 charity partners to provide over 20,000 meals to those in need. Kids Giving Back is committed to building the next generation of generosity as our kids grown into tomorrows engaged citizens and leaders.

In conjunction with Chatswood Rotary, Kids Giving Back are raising funds to help grow the opportunities and programs offered as well as the purchase and outfitting of a “Mobile Experience Van” bringing hands-on volunteering to schools and communities.

The Dinner will be held on Wednesday, 3rd August 2016 at Parliament House, 6 Macquarie Street, Sydney (6.30pm).
